Piera, an elderly widow, leads a solitary and faded existence in a quiet neighborhood. Sheltered by the mold-stained walls of her home, her days slip away in front of the television, her only contact with a world that no longer sees her. When one night the screen stops working, Piera, unable to sleep, hears strange noises coming from outside her door. Through the peephole she discovers thieves ransacking the neighbors’ house. Even her safe refuge now seems threatened, forcing her to move along the fragile border between reality and paranoia.
