“E Vissero” is a short film, colorful in both visuals and language, that playfully engages the audience by posing provocative questions in a quirky, irreverent way. It follows a lively conversation between two young men, Felice (21) and Contento (23), as they explore themes of prejudice, freedom, and fetishism.
Inspired by the teen movies of my adolescence, the short film aims to depict, with grotesque elegance, the desire for freedom typical of my generation. By explicitly presenting a series of increasingly “extreme” behaviors, it challenges the audience with the questions: “How open-minded are you?” and “How far can you accept the freedom of others?”
The film is filled with references to pop culture, cinema, video games, memes, and comics. In this way, it quickly conveys - through visuals alone - the precise cultural background of the short film’s protagonists: Generation Z.
