Set in Naples, within the Sri Lankan community - the second largest in Italy - the story follows a father and his daughter, and the clash between their respective worlds. Kamal struggles between his desire to let Rasadi be free and the weight of “traditional ways.” Rasadi, in turn, grapples with the tension between the community’s constraints and the freedom of a city and country she feels she belongs to.
